The Roto Grip Rockstar is my benchmark ball, and is always in my bag. So, I was excited to try out the pearl version, and it does not disappoint.
First, the specs on this ball. The RG is 2.50 with a differential of .046 on this symmetric pearl with the Rocker A.I. core and Nanostar pearl cover. The nano add in the pearl is just enough to get the ball to respond in the midlane and not have trouble with skidding too far, which makes this ball very usable for me.
This ball fits just where I would expect it to in my arsenal, just after the original Rockstar and above all the cleaner balls. This ball will read later than the Rockstar and earlier than the RST Hyperdrive Pearl, giving me a rounder motion than this ball. I expect to get a lot of use out of this ball on a variety on conditions from fresh house shots to the middle of tournament blocks on heavier volumes of oil.
