About Mike Dias
Mike is an 28-year member of the PBA and has
21-300 games, 11-800 series, including an 855, one PBA Regional title, in a part-time career that
includes a PBA Regional Championship, two ABC Masters top-24 finishes, a high of
20th on the National PBA tour, three Rocky Mountain Senior Tour Championships, two Colorado
Open Championships, four Denver Masters team titles and numerous other
tournament wins. Mike was also the head coach for the CU-Buffaloes Bowling Team
from 1987-1994. Mike’s most memorable event in bowling was beating Pete Weber
in the Masters, and losing to Mike Aulby in the same tournament.
Mike also has 30 years of coaching experience, and
27-years Pro Shop experience. Mike has a lot of experience in teaching the sport
of bowling, including 7 years as the head coach for the University of Colorado
men's and women's bowling programs.
Mike is a United States Bowling
Congress Silver-Certified coach (and working on a Gold certification), and an
IBPSIA-certified Pro Shop Professional. Mike and his partner Mike Donovan
also provide bowling industry software (see
www.score300.com).
Mike has been married to Elissa
for 26 years, and has two fantastic young adults: Leslie 19 and Alex 15.
History
| Welcome to the web page for
Coach's Corner, which opened in its original location in 1987, after
several years of drilling in other locations. Since this was a home-based
business, the clientele started as Mike's friends and word-of-mouth
references. The focus was then, and still is, on quality and personal
service to the customer. Although we expanded and continued to service
customers throughout the Denver area for the next 10 years, I have chosen to
curtail my ball drilling and focus on providing instructional services to
the Colorado bowling community.

If you
want personal, quality service at a fair price, you've come to the right
place. I keep up-to-date with the latest technology in the marketplace
and will utilize it to give you the best possible chance to help you bowl
well. My lessons emphasize sound fundamentals as they are taught by the best
coaches in the game, using the latest high-tech software to maximize value
to you as a customer.
I still provide drilling and grip and arsenal analysis, and
I can provide you with quality drilling, providing a grip that conforms to
industry standards and allows you to maximize your ability to bowl well, or
analyze your equipment arsenal to help you with what you do or don't need.

Future Goals
I will continue to provide lessons, both private and group, clinics both within
and outside of the Denver area, and continue to write in order to share
knowledge and help everyone improve.
